The gym is filthy. It’s filthy for two reasons: 1) I dropped the chalk bowl and spilled some and didn’t have time to clean it up, 2) the hooligans (aka, my 9 and 6 year old cousins) showed up a few days later and spread the spilled chalk and whatever was left in the bowl over every square inch of themselves and the gym. Then they hung upside down from the pullup bar, pretended to surf on the treadmill and drew elaborate murals over the entire surface of the white board. Good times!

On the plus side, I don’t need to chalk my hands because every single thing in the room is covered in it. There’s a silver lining to every problem. Or in this case, a white chalky lining to every problem.
