Later in the evening was judo class. It was most excellent – we did all ground work. One of the guys has previous experience in jui-jitsu so he took us through some basic things with mounting and escaping mounts. After that we did some back-to-back ground sparring for about 15 minutes. I felt great and it was one of those nights where you relish the pain and suffering (and I mean that in a non-sadomasochist way.) The hard work just feels good. Some nights that are hard you just want someone to knock you out so you can lay down and have a nap for a bit. One night you look at the clock and think “Oh no, we have to go another 45 minutes!” The other night you look at the clock and think “Oh no, we only have 45 minutes left!”
