I decided to take a break from the Wendler 5/3/1 for a week and do CrossFit Football in that time. Today was the CrossFit Football Total, and I hit a PR in the power clean, a PR in bench press (granted, it’s a PR because I’ve never done it before, a freebie), equaled my PR in the back squat, and was really close to equaling my PR in the deadlift. I did do the squats and deads with a belt, but I’m not sure it made any difference.
