Yowsa! I couldn’t use my arms for about 10 minutes, they felt like a couple of wet noodles just hanging there. I begged for deadlifts tomorrow. Please, please, please. Anything but arms.

Judo class tonight. Lots of fun. We did two new throws, both wrapping throws: Soto Makikomi and another that was kind of like a Kouchi Makikomi. Not sure if that’s an official throw or not, but it works just fine. After that we did some arm bars and ground technique and wrapped it up with about 15 minutes of randori.

During the randori we had the tori close their eyes and throw by feel instead of watching the movement of the uki. I can’t emphasize enough how much that helped me. I have a really bad habit of thinking too much during randori and shiai when I should just be reacting to the opponent’s movements.
