Kyuki-do and judo classes tonight. Judo rocked. There were four of us there and we did all the throws, a little randori and then we did one minute drills. One minute drills are as many throws as you can do in one minute, rest thirty seconds, and repeat depending on however many uki’s you have. Judo intervals! We had four people so everyone had three minutes of throwing and three minutes of being a uki. I could really feel the difference CrossFit is making. I wasn’t gassed at all, but then again the big dudes weren’t there.
Man, it was wicked hot in there. I’m not completely convinced he didn’t have the heater on. My skin felt like it was on fire, and Linda said she felt like that too. Her face was bright red, and mine sure felt like it was.I felt like I was cooking from the inside out. Our sensei’s teacher is an old-school Korean judo master. He’s told us stories of him closing all the windows and cranking the heat up in the summer, and opening all the windows and turning the heat off in the winter. The Korean master asked us once “Does your teacher spank you when you make mistake?” Every one said no. He shook his head and said “Ooooh, you so lucky!”
